Below are the steps on how to protect your Telegram account from hackers. Kindly note that this tutorial is for Telegram users. If you’re not a user, you can download the Telegram app from Google Playstore.

Here are the steps:

1. Launch your Telegram app

2. Click on the 3-horizontal lines at the top left of the app and click on Settings.

3. On the Settings page, locate and click on Privacy and Security. This page of the app has been grouped into different categories. These are:

• Privacy
• Security
• Delete my account
• Bots and websites
• Contacts
• Secret chats

4. Next, locate “Privacy” and select Last Seen & Online.

5. On the Last Seen & Online page, you will have options to choose Who can see your Last Seen time.

Everybody: this means that users of Telegram can view your Last Seen and Online Presence.

My Contacts: This means only contacts with whom you have saved their contacts (and vice versa) will be able to view your Last Seen and Online Presence.

Nobody: means absolutely no user will be able to view your Last Seen and Online Presence.
