Do you want to apply for a Master of Arts in Journalism at GIJ? This is a 12-month Master of Arts Degree programme. The focus is to train people from diverse backgrounds to apply and utilize concepts and models of journalism within the broad social science traditions of media and communication.

Qualifications to Study Master of Arts in Journalism at GIJ
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies from Ghana Institute of Journalism or any accredited/recognized University, with at least Second-Class Lower Division. Or
A Bachelor’s degree in other Disciplines from any reputable University with at least Second-Class Lower Division.
2. Pass an Entrance Examination and Selection Interview.
NOTE: Applicants from Non-English-speaking countries must also have a minimum level of English Language Proficiency in the following: GSCE/O Level. IELTS and TOEFL.

Steps to Apply for Master of Arts in Journalism Admission
An applicant must pay the relevant application fee at any Fidelity Bank branch by providing the applicant’s name and telephone number.
You will be provided with your application number/ transaction ID at the bank that will grant you access to the GIJ Online Admission Portal.
Applicants should then proceed to the Online Admission Portal: http://registration.gij.edu.gh/Apply/Start to begin the application process.
Select “M.A (Journalism)” as the Programme of choice and continue.
Once the process has been completed, the applicant must print out a copy of the completed application form together with one passport photograph and supporting documents to the address below.
