One of the most convenient features of the Honor X9 is its fingerprint sensor, which can be used to unlock your phone, authorize payments, and access secure apps.
In this guide, I will show you how to set up your Honor X9 fingerprint sensor. The process is simple and only takes a few minutes. If you haven’t already, here are the full specs of the Honor X9 phone.
How to Set up your Honor X9 Fingerprint Sensor
Below is a step-by-step guide on how to set up the fingerprint sensor on an Android-based Honor phone:
- Open the “Settings” app on your Honor X9. You can usually find it in the app drawer or on the home screen.
- Next, go to the “Security & Privacy” option and click on the Fingerprint ID. You will be prompted to choose a backup security method, which can be a PIN code, pattern, or password. Select the one that you are most comfortable with, and that will serve as an alternative way to unlock your device.
- After successfully setting it as a backup security method, it’s now time to add a new fingerprint.
- Choose the option that says “Add Fingerprint” to proceed.
- You’ll be prompted to place your finger on the fingerprint sensor. Follow the on-screen instructions, and make sure to lift and reposition your finger slightly between each placement to capture different parts of your fingerprint.
- Continue placing your finger on the sensor until the setup process reaches 100%. The system will then inform you that the fingerprint has been successfully added.
Once the setup is complete, lock your phone, and then try unlocking it using the registered fingerprint. This helps ensure that the sensor is working correctly.
