Minnesota Timberwolves – History, Players and Their Salaries

The Minnesota Timberwolves are an NBA basketball club headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Timberwolves are a member of the Western Conference Northwest Division of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Glen Taylor, who also owns the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx, founded the squad in 1989.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have called Target Center home since 1990.
The Timberwolves struggled in their early years, as do most expansion clubs, but after acquiring Kevin Garnett in the 1995 NBA draft, they qualified for the playoffs in eight consecutive seasons from 1997 to 2004.

Despite losing in the first round in each of their first seven playoff appearances, the Minnesota Timberwolves earned their first division title and proceeded to the Western Conference Finals in 2004. Garnett was also selected the NBA MVP for that season.
