Oklahoma City Thunder – History, Players and Their Salaries

The Oklahoma City Thunder are an Oklahoma City-based professional basketball club. The Oklahoma City Thunder are a member of the Western Conference Northwest Division of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team’s home games are held at Paycom Center.

The Oklahoma City Blue, which the Thunder controls, is the Thunder’s NBA G League affiliate. The Oklahoma City Thunder are the only team from Oklahoma in the major professional North American sports leagues. Following Hurricane Katrina’s damage in New Orleans, Oklahoma City Thunder housed the New Orleans Hornets for two seasons.

The Seattle SuperSonics, an expansion team that joined the NBA for the 1967–68 season, were the team’s first name.
