Portland Trail Blazers – History, Players and Their Salaries

The Portland Trail Blazers (previously known as the Blazers) are an NBA basketball franchise headquartered in Portland, Oregon. The Portland Trail Blazers are a member of the Western Conference Northwest Division of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Before moving to the Moda Center in 1995, the team played its home games at the Memorial Coliseum (called the Rose Garden until 2013). From 1977 until 1995, the team sold out 814 consecutive home games, the longest such streak in American major professional sports at the time, and only recently exceeded by the Boston Red Sox.

After the Vancouver Grizzlies relocated to Memphis and became the Memphis Grizzlies in 2001, and the Seattle SuperSonics migrated to Oklahoma City and became the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2008, the Portland Trail Blazers are the only NBA team established in the Pacific Northwest. The Portland Trail Blazers has made three appearances in the NBA Finals, winning the title once in 1977.
