Below are the requirements to study Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Rural Development at KNUST:
1. WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS
Credit passes in THREE (3) Elective Subjects including Geography, (At A1-B3) and any TWO (2) of the following: Economics, Government, French, English Literature, Religious Studies, History, Elective Mathematics, Akan, and any other General Arts Elective.
2. ‘A’LEVEL APPLICANTS
Applicants must have FIVE (5) Credits at the O’ Level, including English Language and Mathematics, plus THREE (3) A’ Level Passes including Geography and TWO (2) other Subjects from the following: History, French, English, Akan, Religious Studies, Elective Mathematics and Economics. They must also obtain a pass in General Paper.
3. MATURE APPLICANTS
Applicants should be at least 25 years at the time of submitting the Application Form.
EITHER
FIVE (5) Credits at O’ Level, including English and Mathematics.
OR
WASSCE/SSSCE credits in THREE (3) Core Subjects English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science, and credits in THREE (3) Elective Subjects including Geography.
Applicants must pass a written examination and an interview.
