How to Enable Face ID on Apple App Store with Your iPhone

In this tutorial, I will show you how to enable Face ID on the Apple App Store of your iPhone. The Face ID feature is a facial recognition system that allows users to unlock their iPhones, authenticate purchases, and sign in to apps by scanning their faces. Click here for a list of iPhones that support Face ID.

Before getting started, make sure that your face is clean and unobstructed. Remove glasses, hats, or scarves if you wear them regularly.

Steps to Enable Face ID on Apple App Store

Below are the steps on how to enable Face ID on the Apple App Store:

  • STEP #1: Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone. If you have a passcode set up on your device, you’ll need to enter it to access the settings.
  • STEP #2 In the “Settings” app, scroll down and go to “Face ID & Passcode” and click on “Set Up Face ID” in the Face ID & Passcode settings.
  • STEP #3: Next, hold your iPhone in portrait orientation and position your face within the on-screen frame. Make sure to move your face around to capture it from various angles.
  • STEP #4: The iPhone will instruct you to gently move your head in a circle. This helps the device create a detailed 3D map of your face. Continue until the first scan is complete.
  • STEP #5: After the first scan is complete, it will ask you to repeat the process, moving your head again in a circle. This further refines the Face ID data.
  • STEP #6: Once both scans are complete, you’ll see a message saying, “Face ID is now set up“. Click “Continue.”
  • STEP #7: Now, to use Face ID on the Apple App Store, toggle the “iTunes & App Store” option to switch it on.
  • STEP #8: Enter your passcode when prompted to complete the process.
  • STEP #9: Now, click on the “Done” button to finish the Face ID setup process.

Face ID is now enabled on your iPhone, and you can use it for authorizing app purchases and more. Make sure to keep your Face ID data secure and only enable it for features you’re comfortable with.
